Earth Day at Grand Central 2008
Other
events in April 2008
14 - 22 April 2008
In celebration of Earth Day, Grand Central Station stages a week long Giant Earth Images exhibition and a two day Earth Fair.
Earth Fair consists of numerous activities and lectures dedicated to protecting the environment and preserving the Earth's natural resources, including recycling workshops, composting demos, live music, dance and more.
Earth Day, for those who aren't up on their PC anniversaries, is a celebration of the modern environmental movement, which began back in April 1970 when millions of Americans took to the streets to demonstrate for the right to a healthier environment.
Today, significant Earth Day events are held in cities across the world including London, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Seoul, Chicago and Beijing.

In popular culture 'The Bronx' has often symbolized violence, decay, and urban ruin. In fact, there are guidebooks that say you must never go to the Bronx! Sheer ignorance, that is all we have to say! Interactive Bronx map
